Custom Ai Drivers Mod Download

The default mod has all cars drive the road king in all classes to verify it works.
It is up to you, to tell ai what cars they will drive and in what class.Currently
this mod is an addon to the custom car mod only. It does not work on games without
the car mod. This mod has bin tested for patched game V1.2 only with custom car mod V1.2
***************** file included for non custom car mod users :unpack mod, replace the mainmenu.bed found in data/scripts folder of unpacked mod with the file I provided in IDontHaveCarMod folder.You can then repack mod for your non custom car packed game.Or put mod in game directory overriting data folder for unpacked game.If you repack for no custom car mod, rename your Custom_Ai_Drivers_Mod .bfs to Custom_Ai_Drivers_Mod_NoCC.bfs so in the future if you install the custom car mod, you won't be confused as to why one of the mods don't work when both mods run together.
What can this mod do:
You can tell each ai driver what car to drive (including custom cars), this works for
both singleplayer and career mode.So you can have the ai drive custom cars thru your career.
Or mix it up, have 3 ai drivers drive stock cars and have 4 drive some customs.Maybe you prefer
the toughness of say jack benton, well copy all of his settings in profile over to the other
6 ai profiles for a tougher race.
You can have katie or sally in every car, the ai is now yours to customize.
There is so many settings you can play/experiment with to
make career mode tougher or just more flatout fun.
For unpacked game: Use "bfs2pack by Karok/GulBroz, release 1.3" found on flatoutjoint.com to unpack Custom_Ai_Drivers_roadkings.bfs , then use data folder
made by the unpacker program which is the mod and add to game directory which will overrite the with the needed files of the mod.
The data folder should be dropped in an unpacked game that is patched
to 1.2 , and has the custom car mod 1.2(see above how to use with no car mod installed). If you do not have the custom car mod in
unpacked game , it will crash I believe as the mod uses one file from the car mod.
You can then edit the profiles.bed found in data/drivers/*drivername folder,and
make some hard ai to beat in singleplayer or career mode.
For packed game:
You must have "custom car mod v1.2" (see above how to use without car mod installed)or mod may not work. Put the custom_ai_drivers_mod.bfs into game directory and add the full name of mod with .bfs entry to your patch file(example below).
Your patch file should look something like this, with multiple mods installed :

How do I make a new profile for mod?
I have included the proper directory, with all proper files needed in the "use me for making new profiles" folder included with this mods original winrar archive. All you do is open each profile and adjust as necessary, paying attention the the "ai cars setup readme" to find out what car you want ai to drive, so you enter correct car slot. aka for ai to drive car25 raodking, you enter 33 in driver profile. Just read that readme lol. Make sure if uploading that you only pack up the folders/files in the "Use me for making new profiles" folder. When you pack up anything , you need to use same directory structure as i provided, so you would drag the Data folder into the window that popped up from the bfs2pack program (bfs2pack_gui.exe) Your new .bfs file should only be about 100 KB's in size. Your new profile you make is to be listed under the Custom_Ai_Drivers_Mod.bfs entry in patch file. for example:

**** If you play online, this mod will need to be removed from patch file or you
not see any games to join, or if hosting , no one will see you. For pacth 1.1 and 1.2
anyway.****
***All available settings have not bin tested out, as there is way to many options, if you come across a setting not working, post on flatoutjoint.com and we will try to help /fix the issue. The same goes with all aiskins,not all bin tested and one may give the memory error once ai go to drive that car. Post about it and we will drop in a filler file to that car number to fix the issue.*****
***You should name your new profiles you create for packed game as Custom_AI_hard.bfs or Custom_AI_Mod_clean_fast.bfs with brief description in a readme to keep things organised as it currently is,or if you wish to share your ai drivers setup upload with your name in it like Custom_AI_your name_hard1.bfs with what file does in a readme.
If you come up with another great AI driving setup, upload as
Custom_AI_Mod_your name_clean_fast.bfs, or Custom_Ai_Mod_your name_bentonstyle.bfs.
***This mod will work with Baku's Single Race Options Mod (i have tested it with order of patch file listed above), though when you goto tell the ai to drive a certain car in the single race options, they will all drive the normal skin 1 as currently set up in that mod.Instead of utilizing and all driving with different ai skins. When you tell ai to drive a certain class, his mod's ai profiles will take place and you will race the proper cars as stock game.If you don't adjust the drivers race what class or what car otions for 2 races in a row, the game will then put you back to your current modded custom ai profile you were running with custom ai mod (default mod being roadkings).
This mod's current profile setup will have you racing Roadkings for all classes in singleplayer and career mode on all and every track.
So go and make some great , hard AI to race against for the commmunity and upload on Flatoutjoint.com.
This mod has bin put together by "Shadow" and "Gulbroz" from flatoutjoint.com.
Many thanks to the developers of a great game, all the modders- too many to mention but off the top of my head: karok,gulbroz, pavcules,muratus and baku , without these people there would not be packer/unpacker to mod the game, there would be no site like FOJ to share mods with people, and communicate with. And there would be no LUA scripting gods to bring out cool scripted mods.

- DeadMan 2007-03-24 16:23:24 I found little problem. When I chose the same car two times in a row. Opponents starts with their original cars. Is anyone else having this problem?
