It been a long wait, Carpack 3 is
uploaded and now updates2 is ready for downloading. :)
This is final version of updates2 for
FOJ Community Mod for Flatout 2 ( part 5 ). Need parts 1-4 before
installing. New bfs file includes some tweaks to some custom cars in
Carpack 1 & 2, 9 new tracks and Purple44 12 custom DD pits (
including new Junkyard derby ) have been made compatible with the
race tracks thanks to GulBroz. Also included is a new Flatout 2 Mod
Manger from De Stan. Be sure to read all the readmes for the details.
Will need to install Microsoft .NET Framework v2.0 if using XP to use new Mod Manager.

This is for the FOJ Community Mod, your Flatout 2 game must be patched to version 1.2
Install/extract "FOJs_Community_Mod_Updates2.bfs" and the "patch" file to your game directory. You need the previous 4 parts of mod installed first.
Your patch file should now look like this for the standard community mod:

Whats new or changes for updates 2:
Tools: (For foj community mod, only works if all 5 parts of mod installed.)
de_Stan's FOJ Community MOD Manager- see readme for more info and how to use it.
This new tool will never allow you to mess up the order of Community
mod, and gives you quickly made patch files of stock game, community
mod, community mod with carpack3 addon that will always be in the
proper order. This tool allows you to drag your mods bfs file over the
manager and entry is created in the patch file list, use up or down
arrows to put in which order you want it (won't allow you to mess up
community mod order, only mods that are not specific commmunity mod bfs
files can have order changed)
New tracks:
-Purple44's ddpack is now included
-J89 trackpack is now included
-Purple44's junkyard and hazard dragstrip tracks
-GulBroz's Hellbowl track ( it about time Gul got to do a track )
Updated custom tracks:
-many custom tracks updated with new effects/physics for certain
objects. Fire used on some tracks to help mark splitpoints that you are
not allowed to miss or lap does not count. Thanks to GulBroz.
Car updates:
-Drag racers monster truck updated with higher poly versions
-Heddly has gone through and redone most of his cars handling/car specs.
-Heddly updated the 4 wheeler black betty to be a 3 wheeler.
-BMW M3 E46 is now rear wheel drive, bigger wheels , new handling /other car specs.
-Muratus Camaro has new handling/car specs
Database changes:
-global rules: reset speed changed from 15 to 2 (when you reset,you are in a stopped position, not rolling)
-global rules: ghost time changed from 1700 to 3800 (more time to evade
someone who has reset in front of you /prevent crashing in them as they
have just reset in a stopped position)
-global rules: maxspeedwhenresetallowed changed from 7.5 to 1.5 ( will
need to wait a little longer to reset/ hopefully slow down the crash a
holics that crash/reset 50 times per race)
-races: onlinetimetofinish changed from 60 to 90 ( there is alot of
people that almost finish or you race the pro's and rarely finish the
race. Its nice to at least finish so whats an extra 30 seconds ;-P )
-racedamage: tirereleasetolerance changed from .75 to .85 (tires stay
on till 85 percent damage, only for race. Derby remains the same .75
till tire flies off)
-launch for stunts: numnudges changed from 1 to 25 (not much stunts
online with foj mod, see if this sparks any interest) (it does add to
singleplayer stunt just messin around)
-launch for stunts: timer changed from 450 to 900 (more air / hang time
after you launch, before stunt ends so you can see your guy drop from
air after the 25 nudges shooting him 600 feet in air lol )
-car 1,3 have www.flatoutjoint.com tag
-car 2,45 have FOJ'sCommunityMod tag
-car 22 have FOJ'sCommunityMod tag
-car 41 durability changed from .800 to .200 and speedlimit from 550 to
360 (flatmobile will no longer be the choice of derby or race)
-car 39(nucleon) speedlimit changed from 175 to 350

A BIG thanks go out to GulBroz for his
work with Blender that let me change the effects/physics of the objects
I use in the Derby pits. Now the Derby pits can co-exists with the race
tracks without causing problem with solid tires on the race tracks. And
some derby pits got some extra fire effects.
