I found this car at SupermotoXL Designs on Monday and have not been able to put it away. So far I have everything done except for bending up the crash parts and i need 4 more skins for it.The car is pretty high poly and I had to leave out the rear shocks and susp.I made a rear suspension from an F1 and a rear suspension I downloaded from SupermotoXL but still all in all it has 17 crash parts includeing all 6 fog lights. I figured it would be more fun to have more crash parts for DD since it is 4 wheel drive also. I hope to have it finished soon.I am also working on a Dirt Modified a GoKart and a Formula One.

Wow, that car is just wicked - going to be hard to skin it. Still, I won't crumble in front of a challenge like that!
Good job Heddly, keep it up!

It looks like a skinning contest is going to be more than just painting it.Right now the car wants to use skin1 no matter what other skin you choose from the menu. But it uses the damaged skin of the skin that you pick from the menu. I deleted the body_crash part and replaced it to eliminate the possibillity that it was causing a problem. The skins in the cars and menu folders are the same. The skin choices for the other cars in my custom car folders work so i think it has to be something about the car itself. If anyone has an idea or suggestion it would be a great help as this is really driving me crazy. It's probably something simple like always.

The skins are defined in the car.bed file or something, am I right (I have never messed with custom cars, so I don't know). So try to check if there's any typo in the code in that file reponsible for the skins associated with the car.

Reaper I believe you was having this problem with that custom Trasher you since me. I just ran my unpack FOv2 that I use to make tracks for FOv3 mod and when I pick skin 5 for the Trasher (pic #1), Trasher get skin #1 (pic #2) when race starts. Reaper did you figure out why that happen with your custom Trasher? Wonder if it's the same problem Heddly having. One of the perks of being a track maker, is I get a custom skin or 2 sent my way.

Well while I was sitting around trying to figure out why these skins ain't working I was playing with a program that I think Reaper posted a link to called Game Cam. http://www.planetgamecam.com/index.php?locid=newsThe videos turn out smaller, about 2 seconds of video per mb.The quality isn't much different than Fraps either. Here's a couple of videos,1 is a minute long and about 29mb.I might just get the registered version.

Great vids Heddly with a nice vehicle. That cockpit view still needs the near clipping adjusted a tad

Thanks Reaper!! I did what you told Piurple about not clicking "assign to selection" when doing the body material and it worked. If people want to do a skinning contest I have a skinning kit with the Z3d and other textures to put it into Zmod.Mur showed me how to make a template in Zmod and it looks pretty good.I did the best I could. The car is mapped from the side so any lettering or numbers and that sort of stuff will be mirrored.I don't know if it is worth the effort.Let me know what you think.I was just going to use the original and just make it different colors. If I do that I can upload it as soon as Shadow helps me with the near clipping on the cam.

I think I'll just include the template in the download. That way people who aren't into skinning won't have to wait.
