Ok after MUCH trail and error ( crashing ) I got a beta version of Junkyard track for you guys to test out.

Track now only crashing on me about every 5th, 6th try, instead of first lap or two on first try.  I ran into issue with telephone poles around the O in FOJ and had to delete some trigger planes that were crashing the game when I added the second layer of cars falling into the O.

This track a bit obstacle, bit racing. Some places will have to weave through objects or push them aside ( nitro helps with the pushing). And other spots, can race full out. Resets work in some spots and in other spots may get a bad reset.

Instead of me using Blender and placing each car on the track. I've set up track to where it builds it's own piles of junk. Each time you race the track, it will be a little different. Smiley

Please run track at least 5 times in a row and see if track crashes your computer and post back your results.

Will need Community Mod with Carpack 2 to load junkyard-beta5.bfs file. Here exmaple "patch" file:

patch1.bfs
FOJs_Community_Mod.bfs
FOJs_Community_Mod_Trackpack1.bfs
FOJs_Community_Mod_Carpack1.bfs
FOJs_Carpack2_and_updates.bfs
junkyard-beta5.bfs

Junkyard bfs file is attach to post below.

After starting Mod, go to Field track, then arrow down to the reverse tracks then over to Reversed Farmlands 2 track. Had to put track here to avoid the trackai.bin file that in stock Farmlands 2 track.

Here a video and a pic from an eagle view:

I downloaded your track Purple, using your patch and every time I start the game it crashes to the desktop. I tried 4 times.  Sad

It's like modeling cars...you try to get as much detail, parts wise that sometimes you have to find a happy medium. Like the higher poly parts that aren't always viewed in game are the first ones to go.

Good Luck, can't wait to test again.   Grin

never mind....my game won't star at all...evenin stock patch. sorry

Laggy on my slow machine too, but tons of people with upgraded machines that can handle it fine.

Thanks for testing guys. Smiley

Is lag only when stuff is falling down and exploding? After things settle down is lag gone?

Here pic of burn in on lightmap Shadow did for me today to help guide players around the track.

you should make the track go around the entire "O" and exit the "O" at the same spot it does right now, that way there is merging traffic and maybe some more carnage Wink

the people with lag are probably running 30-40 FPS on the stock tracks, because if it drops anywhere under 30 is when you'll notice lag.

I got my game working (had to make new Savegame folder) and didn't experience any lag. I was lost without a minimap, where the track changes to grass, so I followed an ai car.  Grin

Code:
Pentium D 3 ghz
2gb memory
ATI HD2600XT video card

Oh there will be some carnage going on around the O. While your trying to push a path through the junk around the O, your label to get rear ended from behind.  Shocked

And don't want to bog the guys down to much getting through the junk on the track near the O. Had to do some tweaks to get cars to pile up in middle of O and not so much on the track. Deleting the telephone poles around the O, made it harder to keep the junk pile inside the middle of the O.

i think that there are multiple cars in the same spot, and as soon as there touched, they "multiply"

Yup you got it right Cody.

There like 10 cars sitting in the exact same spot and as soon as car is hit by a player or an object like the planes dropping from the sky, it trigger the expansion of all 10 cars.

The junk pile in the middle the letter O, is set up to be a chain reaction. One stack of cars trigger another stack of cars. If you get to the middle of track quick enough you can watch the show.

Yeah, i've seen the chain reaction, but how does this physik work? Have you wrote a code or was this just implemented in the game?
