Possible Outages

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick heads up. The VPS that FOJ is hosted on is being moved to a new data center. This will probably cause a few outages over the next few days. It was already down earlier today.

This move has nothing to do with FOJ's future, it's just he hosting company changing locations.

I'm not sure Shadow. The domain will go on for another year. One of my main email accounts used is a from it. The hosting is the biggest issue. I've not had any time to really work out a solution so for now I'll keep dishing out the 45 a month.

I'd say FOJ is safe for a few more months at least.

Well things are getting pretty slow around here, so maybe best to close FOJ by the end of the year. I don't see things picking up with no Flatout 3 or a good racing game we can mod. Blur our next chance but that not until sometime next year.


Or get rid of the download section except for like the Community Mods that are link to Mod DB and not allow any uploads to FOJ, even in posts. Members would have to upload to other places like http://www.mediafire.com. and link to those sites.

Mur if all the files in download section that are stored at FOJ, were deleted and you just had the forums, could you get the cost of hosting down to $20-$25 a month?

Or would you have to delete all the files and pictures attach to posts too?
