Thanks Mike and just so you know I am happy to have your model over in FO2!
I appreciate any cross over models from CD and would love to see more. Your welcome to any of my collection as well.

FLCL64 The model you say is perfect down to a T (general lee) is because it was modeled by professionals at Electronic Arts. The dukes of hazard model has been done by every major game company who makes racing games. That car is a direct conversion. Not saying their isn't talent out there that could make it. Just that it is done by modelers that do this for a living. Not as a hobby... and since I did a lot of the rework on that car for the final Carpack_1 for FO2 I know the model came from NFSCarbon. If I remember correctly I did the damage skins on it as well don't remember if they made it in the final carpack.

I was curious about the model you pointed out so I did download it. It's has 4 different models in it and the detail level looks great in the pictures but its below Mike's model.... much below.. The front grille is painted on which means you wont even see a grating. The total size of the model with all its textures packed up is 5mb.
The model I built with all the textures for fo2 packed up is 10mb. So honestly your getting about half the model from you pick.

My suggestion before you piss every modelers off here is for you to spend some time learn how to skin some cars and make the changes to the bluesmobile yourself.

If it is just issues like the police 170 being placed in the right spot it will just be a skinning thing for you.

If your stuck on getting a new model into FO2 at this point I would move on. The only guys still modeling for FO2 are myself and Heddly and after this nightmare I don't think either one of us will bother doing any of your suggestions.
I am sorry to hear if its ocd or whatever but you approached this all wrong. Try getting it made for another game.
I know I am no ones bitch just speaking for myself and no dollar amount makes me that. Ten bucks doesnt even give me a quarter tank of gas.

I believe a custom car take more than an hour or 2 to make, $10 be cheap wages.

i said thank you!
i am appreciative! very!
but i cant even play a game on my pc if it lags or looks like its scrunched to fit on a screen, i dont kno what it is. it drives me crazy!
i KNOW i dont know anything about moddeling, thats why i asked someone!
but if i COULD do the model myself i would b constantly working on it till it was perfect, doing things in small increments ESPECIALLY if it were for someone else. also i wouldnt blow off the handle like that!
i wish i could work on it i really do
i dont mean to b offencive, but there is always room for improvement
im sorry if 10$ isnt alot to you, its kind of a big deal to me
i dont have a job yet and this is part of my vacation money that also has to go twords food and room.
but what-ever im going to drop this, because i dont want to make enemies with you guys, you guys are great, and i dont want to make a pest of myself, so good day to yall
and again THANK YOU!

It sounds like you need another computer not another car man.

no prob's Mottz, happy to be of service. Feel free to browse through all of my uploads that are here. If theres anything you like the look of, just let me know, and I'll see about digging up the .z3d, prepping it for fo2 and sending it over to ya:
DEATHday mod
'69 charger, '70 chevelle, '70 'cuda, '69 roadrunner/classis muscle carpack (all NFS converts)
'70 Olds 442 (Vice city sabre)
'73 Riviera GS from Vice city (download says 71 but its actually a 73)
Clover from GTA San Andreas

theres some other stuff here too

I may also dig through my back catalog of personally modelled cars and see if theres anything that would make a nice addition. I think maybe a '67 Mercury Cougar, thats if I did one I'll have to check.

Nice! Thanks Mike...

I have been looking for a decent El Camino for awhile.
If its a pain in the ass to check out don't worry about it..but,
Noticed you have one in one of the death day packs. Hows the poly count on that one?

Ok Mottz, I'll see about digging up that '83 elcamino. I will need to check base with Taigo who built it to see if he's cool with it being converted (don't see any reason why not, but I better check), and if so I'll sort the mesh out.

I can't remember how clean the mesh was, but I'll find out once I've dug it up. It can be cleaned up no problem though. Would you be wanting it in stock/mint form or the post apocalyptic deathday trim?

EDIT: I've got the ok from Taigo so its a go ahead once I've dug the mesh up

Well I wouldnt mind seeing what both versions look like Mike if it is not a huge pain in the ass for you. Hard to tell from the screen shot the difference.

The other one that looks sweet is your 70 olds gta convert.
Just thought I would throw that out there. I owned one of those when I was a teenager would be nice to do that.

Sweet! which of the two 442s? the deathday one is the better done of the two with more detail and a better interior, also with the doors and fenders still seperate. both have a number of custom parts (side pipes, blower and some other stuff) but I'd prefer to see it stock. I can't get to either model properly right now as I can't connect my Pc with the models and stuff on to the internet, so it would otherwise mean tranferring images back and forth between it and the laptop I'm using for the net right now.

As for the El camino. the deathday one does contain all of the stock parts for showroom condition, so i'll probably return the deathday version to stock and leave the deathday skin as one of the paintjobs

So it'll be a few days before I can get some decent images of both cars to you, that ok? keep two slots of your carpack open for them as I can see both of them fitting into FO2
