I email Ronnie at Team6 last night with some questions I had about the new Flatout pics I found. Ronnie said it be OK to post his relpies:
Purple44:I did notice one pic titled: 6 24p derby.jpg Does this mean you got 24 player derby stable? Also, is this 24 player offline or 24 player online?
Heddly MSN me this message: " i'd love to get ahold of the that double decker bus."
Does the AI get to drive the bus?
Thanks again,
Purple44
Ronnie Nelis - The night racing is not just as night: It's a nightmare to drive too

The rain, damp, fog and night make it difficult to see anything, but
the reflections make it even more difficult AND the road is real
slippery because of the wet road. A.i. difficulty is also a lot harder
in this mode, and alltogether.. only try this mode if you're really
familiar with the cars and maps, otherwise it will frustrate you a lot

- 24 player derby is working very well at the moment. First we wanted to
try 32, but then the system specs would become too high. It's online and
offline playable and stable.
- The double decker isn't controlled by the Ai yet, but that's something
we'll change right away this morning. As soon as you've unlocked the
bus, there will be an Ai driving it too

Thanks for the reply,
- Ronnie
Purple44 & Ronnie:Great news we can have 24 player derbys online. But then I got to ask, will host be able to change things up and pick a race next? With a full house of 24 players in a derby, will host lose half the players if pick a race or will racing also support 24 players?
+++We have various game modes with different player limitations, so i'm afraid the server will kick some of them, yes. Sorry for this, but i don't see any other option. For a normal race, currently we've got 16 players. In derby mode, will players get to spectat the other players after being wrecked?
+++Good question. I'll post this in our bug /feature report system and probably it's going to be in there.Purple44
