I also did not have issues with GFWL with UC and FUEL. But when DIRT 2 got release in Dec 2009, the shit hit the fan when players that bought DIRT 2 and went to go online and then were told by Microsoft that they live in an unsupported country, so would be block from racing online with the $40-$80 they just paid for DIRT 2 and there no refund.
Should not Steam warn buyers before they buy, if a game require GFWL? Should not Steam warn buyers before they buy, if a game require GFWL ( Games for Windows LIVE ) to race online or will have to figure out how to get GFWL to go into offline mode so you can save your game if not log into LIVE.
Like what has happen with Codemasters DIRT 2. Codemasters first racing game to use GFWL. If live in one the over 166 unsupported countries ( there only 26 supported countries ), you will be lock out of racing online and will have to figure out how to force GFWL into offline mode or create a offline LIVE ID to be able to save your game offline.
A lot of Steam buyers were not warn about this and now are lockout of racing DIRT 2 online!

It a sad day for online racing when game makers like Codemasters use GFWL to restrict half the world from racing online.
Will Flatout 2 and GRID be the last few racing games to let Whole world race together online?
And Steam helping divide the online racing community if they do not warn players that DIRT 2 may restrict them from online racing. Buyer beware!!!!
GFWL stole my gameAttention. This game is a scam, as it works on Windows-Live Will Codemasters give new CD-key to those players in unsupport countires that need... There no warning on Steam page to buy DIRT 2:

******************************************************
It took Codemasters 2 months after the release of DIRT 2 on Steam before they finally updated the DIRT 2 page with a warning about GFWL and the unsupported country issue!!!!
Codemasters created a lot of bad blood with the online racing community with what happen with GFWL and Codemasters racing games.
And because of the mess GFWL cause and the trouble it cause Steam dealing with it, Steam stop selling GFWL games to countries that were not on the GFWL support list last year. I think this what finally got Codies to stop using GFWL. GFWL was costing Codemasters sells on Steam.
