This is the very first Monster Truck for the Flatout series. It is made to replicate the USHRA "Maximum Destruction" Monster Truck.

The hardest part on this will be the suspension, since it isn't like the cars. I will have to somehow make it act as if it has 2 rear_susp models (one front, one rear instead of just one rear). I might know how to do it, and that would be to go to "beam axle" suspension instead of "independant" which is default.

If anyone else has any ideas, please post them here.

This was originally going to be the USHRA truck "An Escalade", but unfortunately, when I went to save the progress on it, it didn't save. So for it I have to start over. I still have the Maximum Destruction one from before that I'll be doing first, but I hope to get the An Escalade one done eventually too.

Very nice!

You can set the front suspension to not be independant. Then just call your front suspension susp_front it should work. That's what I did for the unimog that has 2 solid axels.

thanks mur Smiley

I think last time a major problem was with the way they turned, the axles would turn like the tires....hopefully I don't have that problem again Tongue

hmmmm...one thing- when it's done, do you think it'll go over cars or just push them???

well, the truck is finally done (unless if there are errors when I go and test it), and now all i have left is the inner part of the rims and then map the rims and export as .bgm

here's a pic of the truck with the tires put on for looks.

(look at the picture). hmmmm.....anyone think a resize of the tire and truck will be needed? The big tire is the monster truck tire (same size as it is on the truck above), and the small tire is tire_01.bgm

Heck yea, GO GRAVE DIGGER.

Grave Digger would've been the first one, but I had started Max D before so it was closer to competion.

Edit: yay the forum is working again Smiley

Thx DR, you saved my life.
My little cousin kept nagging about wanting me to construct a MonsterTruck for him.
When you happen to be in Belgium, even in Flanders I'll buy you a beer Wink

Hey drag_racer did you find out whether it would just ram cars or would it drive over them?

I need to raise up the truck so that the tires aren't in the ground, and then change the collision file.

I'm gonna be busy today and tomorrow, so I'll probably work on it early sunday morning or sunday night.

I'm gonna be doin more of these quickly (low poly, just as they are in Monster Truck Madness 2), and then release a Low Poly Monster Truck pack, and then I'll spend some more time on them and put in more details (probably 20k-30k total polys when done), and then release a High Poly Monster Truck Pack.

Depending on if I can increase the size and length of the nitro fire from the tailpipes for certain cars and not all of them, I do plan on doing some jet cars, with an afterburner that activates with the nitro button, and it'll have 0 nitro boost and a big nitro reservoir for some long bursts Cheesy.
