Purple and I were racing yesterday and I noticed with a full lobby most of the time that on the starts my car was always slower than the rest....I found that my brake pedal was stuck about 10% on and my throttle was only reaching about 90% in the Control Panel/Game Controllers/Properties window......I was able to get it working by using the Logitech Clear Calibration Utility.

I ran the utillity and then unplugged my USB connection and plugged it back in,I rebooted and went back to the Control Panel/Game Controllers/Properties window and it showed the pedal settings accurately. That is the the order that I used after running the utility didn't work on it's own so I did the other steps since the utility deletes ALL references of ANY game controllers that are in the Registry. You will have to re-calibrate all of your controllers. The Readme on the downoad page explains more..

I went back online and raced for about another hour and was able to keep up on restarts.I also had a problem with my steering wheel loosing it's calibration and going left of center while the car was still going straight. That has not happened yet.

Just thought I'd share this in case anyone else has this problem.  Cheesy

My controller seems to have lost calibration. What do I do?
  Answer

If the device appears to be uncalibrated, simply disconnect and reconnect the game controller to the USB port. It is very important that when you reconnect the device the joystick(s) remains centered.  If that doesn't work, try the Clear Calibration Utility.  The game controller calibration information is stored in the Windows registry and it is possible that the information is corrupt. The Clear Calibration Utility will remove this information so that the calibration information can be re-written to the registry. Please note that all calibration information will be removed including non-Logitech game controllers. This means you may have to recalibrate all controllers connected to the system.  To download the Clear Calibration Utility, click here.

If the controller does not correctly calibrate after all of the above, it may be defective. If this is the case please exchange the controller at the point of purchase. If this is not possible, click here for information on obtaining an RMA number.

It work Heddly, I got full acceleration now. But be warn, I did not unplug my MOMO wheel and when I restarted computer, the acceleration was worse and brake was on a little bit. So I close Game Controllers window and I unplug wheel, then plug it back in and all is fine!  Grin

Here the readmes for doing this and you'll find the program on the Logitech CD that came with the MOMO wheel.

5.1 CALIBRATION ISSUES

If your device does not calibrate correctly the calibration information in
the system registry may be corrupted. The correct this issue you may use
the Logitech Clear Calibration Utility (LCCU). The LCCU removes all
calibration information, including non-logitech gaming devices, in the system
registry. The LCCU can be located in X:\TechSupt\ClrCalib\ClrCalib.exe (X being
the drive letter of your CD-Rom drive). There is also a readme.txt located
there that will give you more information on "ClrCalib.exe" and how to use it.
The LCCU can also be downloaded from the Support section of our website at
http://www.logitech.com

If the LCCU does not resolve your calibration issue you may also need to
upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft DirectX. You can find the
latest version of DirectX at http://www.microsoft.com

==========================================================================
ClrCalib
==========================================================================

Synopsis:
ClrCalib is used to completely delete any calibration information for
DirectInput game controllers. It will remove *ANY* game controller
installed in the game controller control panel and remove *ANY*
calibration information stored for *ANY* game controller.

Usage:
Launch ClrCalib.exe and follow the instructions on the screen.

If you know what you are doing, use "ClrCalib.exe /JUSTDOITPLEASE"
and no messages will be prompted. (*CAUTION*)

On the page it says "The WingMan Clear Calibration Utility was developed by Logitech to resolve calibration problems with Logitech gaming devices." It seems to be working for me BadMojo.I guess it works for all gaming devices since it removes the calibration for ALL controllers.

ok, so, the clrcalib.exe is no longer around on logitechs site, searched my ass of for anything to do with calibration, and finally came across this page- http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=27&p_created=1083703536&p_sid=Obl6SNEi&p_accessibility=0&p_lva=&p_sp=cF9zcmNoPTEmcF9zb3J0X2J5PSZwX2dyaWRzb3J0PSZwX3Jvd19jbnQ9NzYmcF9wcm9kcz04NDQsMTgmcF9jYXRzPSZwX3B2PTIuMTgmcF9jdj0mcF9zZWFyY2hfdHlwZT1hbnN3ZXJzLnNlYXJjaF9ubCZwX3BhZ2U9Mg**&p_li=&p_topview=1
which gives me a link to download lws_clrc.exe, which takes me to a "product or page unavailable"

i sent an email off to them asking for the latest update of the clear calib util, hopefully theyll get back at me with that.

the Black MOMO has a gas pedal pot issue, has been a problem since the release! It gives a spike so you have either 90percent gas or 10 percent drag(brakes)

Here the readmes for doing this and you'll find the program on the Logitech CD that came with the MOMO wheel.

If you can find your Logitech CD that came with the wheel, you will find ClrCalib.exe in folder Z:\TechSupt\ClrCalib.

1.It's a physical problem,the pot's quality is just cr*p
2.You can do what I did, throw the thing aside and buy G25 Grin
In real life i even took old Thrustmaster pedals and soldered the momo wires to that, but adjusting the gearing to get the pedals working was a pain,so i just went and  bought the G25,at least no probs with them so far...

But the  G25 doesn't have enough buttons on steering wheel. I like having the 6 buttons on the wheel. I race with the force feedback ON, so need two hands on the wheel when I hit an object or the curb.

I was going to post that the ClrCalib.exe does not work second time around, but before writing this post I reread my earlier post and reminded myself that I needed to unplug MOMO wheel from computer after running ClrCalib.exe and restarting computer before opening Game Controller window to check my MOMO wheel calibration.

I did not see any improvement in calibration until I unplug MOMO and then plug it back in!!  Tongue

My gas pedal did not make it back to 100% full acceleration this time, but it's close. Think MOMO has a little wear and tear over the last 6 months, this time.

Also Shadow told me ClrCalib.exe help his Logitech gamepad, but not enough. One button is acting a little worn out. Least that what he tells me that's why he all over the place when trying to turn right.  Smiley Wink
