I can't figure out why my AI skins mod isn't working. I'm pretty sure the BFS file is fine, but my game crashes when it tries to load an AI Skin
EDIT: I have no idea if it's an overwrite issue, but I know the BFS file works this time. It loads the 5th skin (the one I replaced) and then it crashes. It

I only renamed the AI skin to skin 5. i didn't change anything else.

So that shouldn't affect the DXT anyways atleast. Something else is wrong. WAIT!! DID you rename the "aiskin_normal.dds" to "skin5_normal.dds"? And what you left to be used as the AI skin that you moved as Skin 5?

That should be no problem, the original skin is still in the original .bfs... that's the magic of .bfs files Wink

hmm, if there is only one skin in your .bfs, it must be very small... it remembers me something; I think there is a problem with small .bfs files and I'm sure modders were adding filler files just to increase .bfs size in some cases...
You should try to add a dummy file (a text file of some KB, 5KB should be fine) in your .bfs, just to test...

Gul, I have no idea why, but I made two separate files, and one is about 50 MB, the other is 150.
Noki, I don't think that would cause an issue, as was the case in FlatOut2. I did not give the AIs skin5, so I don't need to worry about the AIs.
But I made sure to correctly rename all files to skin5. (i.e. skin5_normal.dds was a renamed aiskin1_normal dds file.)

@Gul I believe I tried with BFSPack 3.0 and 2.0. that might be why one is bigger than the other.
