Hey you guys!

Here's my small contribution to FOJ - A very detailed skinning tutorials to answer ALL of your skinning questions, from novice to expert!

The tutorial is divided into 3 parts, the first which covers templates, the second covers painting, and the third (coming soon) - car damage.

If it's not much to ask maybe this could be made a sticky topic Wink

Skin Making, Part 1: The Day of the Template Man

Skin Making, Part 2: Gettin' Skinny Wit It

Pilau out.

Hey Pilau Very nice tutorial Good work  Wink  but there is something that i think is important and that is not flattening your image because if you want to change any of the layers you can no longer do that.  i suggest saving the PDS first.. then hit "Save AS" then Save the file in .DDs file format that way you can always go back to the original PhotoShop Doc. you were working on  Cheesy well that's my 2 cents hope it's worth anything to ya..  Grin Keep Up The Good Work

P.S} when  are you going to release the Kamakazi Skin... Wink  Tongue

Well Mav you're right, flattening the image loses the layers but I never said "save it as a PSD" after flattening - only save it as a DDS, so the PSD still has it's layers, and only the new DDS file is flattened.

Anyway, thanks for your note.

About the Kamikaze skin? Well, as soon as I release the 3rd part of te tutorial! ^^

Again I ask the FOJ admins: Any chance of getting this topic a sticky one?
