Hi!

I have a logitech G25 steering wheel mounted on my desk, and now got both flatout 1 and 2 installed on my computer.

From my fresh experience, it seems that flatout 2 is a way better game, but the support for my wheel seem better in flatout 1.

In the first game, rough terrain out in the bush is making (a natural) havoc in the wheel, that's quickly replaced with a very smooth ride once getting on the concrete at the goal. All the competitiors that slam in my car smash the wheel in my hands.

All this seem to be missed in flatout 2? It's still a solid feeling in the wheel in general, but the small things seem missing. Is it just me, the settings or haven't they really put it into the game? This is a little bit annoying, as the flatout 1 game feels quite.. old compared to the sequel.

Hmm I can't be alone with this steering wheel and these two games, am I? Quite eager to hear your opinions...  Smiley

I agree that the force feedback in Flatout 1 is better than in Flatout 2.

In Flatout 1, if go off a jump, you can feel your wheel lose tension until you hit the ground again. Don't get same feeling in FO2.

Aha thanks! I'm not alone then!  Smiley
You would think they kept winning solutions in a sequel, but maybe not..

So no patches, settings or anything actually matters? I have played with a lot of things, but it's very hard to know for sure, as you just got your memory and not two machines to compare with..  Tongue

I have the same wheel and found that in FO2 the feeling was awesome.  When I was on gravel my wheel was loose( as it should be ) and when I was back on pavement, it was stiffer since the car had better traction.

Been a long time since I played FO1 but I think it was the same for me.
