Ok, guys.

This thread will be to help keep all the custom cars makers on the same page, and try to keep the new car spots from being used more then once. Well atleast untill we have more then 45 customs released.

So basicly we'll keep a list of the custom car spots on this thread. The car makers can see what spots haven't been used yet, once they find a car number that they want to use, They'll copy the list post it in a reply but with their car listed in the number spot that they have decided to use.

So first I'll start with the blank list as follows:

So that's the blank list. We do need to set some rules on this to make it work smoothly.

1. Only take a number if you are with in a week of release of your car. As easy as it is to change cars numbers now there is no need to select a number any sooner. If your car is not released with in 2 weeks of you taking a number. The list will be changed and the number set back to avalable.

2. Only take the numbers that you really need! We need to work together on this to keep it running smoothly.

3. When selecting a number after the = sign you need to put your cars name, and your name for example if I select car 46 it will need to be like this:
Car_46 = 67 Camaro RS/SS By Muratus

If you guys have any other idea's lets here them. I'll post the first number request so people can see how to do it.

Ok so when you post your requests for open car numbers. Copy the list from the post above yours. Then paste it in your thread, and fill out the information of the car number that you are going to use. Like this:

So the next person will copy this list to repost with there car's info included. Normaly I would frown on taking so many numbers at once, But I'm very close to finishing this car pack so these numbers will be used.

Maybe we should be better off grouping things together, so for example:

46-61 = FlatOut 1 cars
62-69 = European cars
70-79 = US Cars
80-85 = Special vehicles  (Ambulances, Karts, etc.)
86-90 = Large vehicles    (Trucks, Buses, Monster Trucks, etc.)

At least that way we can have a variety of things.  Depending on how many vehicles are released for each category, we may have to adjust the number of vehicles in the category.

Then once they are filled we could create a mega car pack.

I think I know why it was left blank - you guys were kind enough to leave OgreToe a second spot! I am done with my Beetle, Dennis is tweaking the engine for me, and hopefully Shadow will tweak the cameras for me........and so I will begin a second car this weekend, but dont yet know what it will be.

So, Car_64 = OgreToes To Be Announced......

Unless of course someone else needs it and mine is not done, then I will surrender it  Grin

IMHO I think should be in the V2 community mod, then at least everyone play with new track and new cars.  But, we will need to discuss what is the best approach with this.

If the V2 mod winds up being 2 GB in size...fine by me.  Grin

if it does end up being 2gb in size, maybe make it so you can order it on a dvd (for the cost of disk and shipping). If you guys do that, I could burn it to the discs.

Can you burn a few 1000 DVDs?  Remember, that the FOV3 mod has been downloaded over 4000 times.

The V2 mod will be much bigger than FOV3, and probably needs to be split into several downloadable chunks.

The DVD option sounds good idea Drag.
